Katerina Nikolakopoulou My name is Katerina Nikolakopoulou, I am a psychologist located in Amsterdam, specialised in sleep therapy. I am a member of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (Psycholoog - NIP) and have a BSc degree in Psychology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and a MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam.

I have had hands on clinical experience in the field of psychology since 2005 and have worked in the field of Neuropsychology since 2012. I run my own practice and hold a instructor’s position at the Webster Campus in Leiden where I am teaching undergraduate psychology students. Currently, I am also working in the research field on a project funded by Philips at the Slotervaart MC in collaboration with the chronobiologist Dr Floor van Oosterhout. Together we are studying the biological and psychological correlates of Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder (DSPD).

With a strong experience in sleep therapy, psychology and research I help people who are looking for professional support to deal with every-day psychological challenges and sleep related difficulties.

I believe that everyone is able to overcome any problem when they have the proper tools and knowledge, and I am here to provide exactly that! Each person is unique and the most important part of the therapy is to provide you with sufficient information, knowledge and useful practical tools. This way you can choose which tools suit you best to resolve any psychological or sleep related problem.
